How to Read the Bible, by Joe Pelayo

In my haste to make things conform to the way I wanted them to be in my life I realized that the Lord might be instructing me in a lesson in patience. Thus I undertook to study what the Bible said about patience. You see up until this day I was one of the most impatient men alive. But on this particular day, the Lord gave me a new level of patience. I was so grateful to Him I nearly wept. No longer was my soul tormented by the demon of unnecessary urgency, as you know, all things happen in His perfect time. Amen

The Bible on Patience

Roman 8:25
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Romans   5:1
1   Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2   By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4   And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5   And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6   For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for us.

Luke 8:15

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Luke 21:19

In your patience possess ye your souls.

That's why they say patience is a virtue.
